“Our Founding Fathers' Homes and Churches in
Virginia” is a pictorial
history of
many of the great 17th and 18th century homes in
Virginia, many of which are museums today.
These homes and churches depicted along with
accompanying text and genealogical trees offer the reader an historical
account of the early settling of Virginia by our forefathers and their
struggle for freedom from a personal perspective.
The book takes the reader from the early
settlement at Jamestown, to the large homes and plantations which were
built in the Northern Neck along the Rappahannock and Potomac rivers, to
the 18th century struggle for freedom, the Declaration of
Independence, the Revolution, and the present day restoration of these
magnificent homes and churches.
The lovely book would be perfect to display on a
coffee table. The book sells for $35.00 which includes
shipping and postage.
